So Rob had to work on Christmas, leaving about 6:00 a.m. His shift was 7:00 to 4:00. While he was at work mom came over and helped me file bills since I just honestly am too lazy to do it myself, although I at least remember to save the paid bills and the carbons as well as receipts, that's about as far as my responsibility gos before I looses interest. Since we had a power outage the night before I had no idea how to re-set the t.v. or the whole dish network thingy so I spent the day just watching movies and puttering around the house with Jelly-bean on my shoulder. Rob was late coming home because they forgot to relieve the new guy (him) and he actually had to call someone to locate another guard to take over for him. Poor guy they forgot him on Christmas. When he came home we went to mom and dad's house. Mom made ham and Natalia's grandma dropped off some yummy Paraguayan dishes, so she really didn't have to cook too much. We opened gifts and I was beyond thrilled with my new blanket Auntie Elaine made me!!! omg! it's adorable, it has puppies on it! I squealed like a 5 year old and wrapped myself in it right away!!! How does she know????We had a lot of fun and loved all out gifts! Rob and I went home after desert so we could play our new scrabble game wrapped in blankets with hot chocolate laced with peppermint syrup...yumm! Rob had to work today from 4 to 12:00 a.m. he ended up having to take a shift from a guy who got in trouble for not showing up on time so even though they hired him for part time, this week he has worked over time with time and a half so hopefully he will have a big check. A big check means a snow crab dinner at red lobster....lol Hope you guys had a great x-mas. love you!

Rob is working at the O'Connor hospital in san jose as a guard. His duties include: guarding stuff and matching toe tags in the morgue. But boy does he look adorable in his uniform. fun fun fun. LOL

Okay sorry I haven't posted in a while, it's been kinda busy around here and I have been pretty lazy. Mail order boyfriend ( rob) has been looking for work for ever and no one has called him or anything. Poor guy has 15 applications out there for various jobs (I think even mary kay!) While he is at home and I am at work he cleans the house and does the laundry and unloads the dishwasher so that makes me happy. But I think he is slowing going nuts.....I caught him looking up Latke recipes the other day, neither of us are Jewish.

Anyway, so Thanksgiving was awesome, lots of food. Nahuel (Natalia's brother) brought his new born named luciano. So we were all goo gaa over him like he was doing anything, just laying there all pink and wrinkly. We are just now finally getting rid of all the thanksgiving left overs. Literly, Rob is in the kitchen as I type trying to force the moldy food down the disposer. ewwww so his job!

My house warming was apparently a huge event. I think there were at least 60 people at my house, some I even knew. I even had friends show up from high school that I never talk to anymore, it's amazing how many people show up when you promise booze and food. One of my former students showed up. His name is Matthew and he is in a wheel chair and can't talk but he turned 18 this year so he was flirtin' up a storm with all the girls at the party. It was pretty funny. He was such a hit at my party that he has been invited to two more parties that my friends are throwing for new years! No one even asked for a tour of my house because they were so enamored with Matthew. So I'm posting pics of Thanks giving and my house warming, enjoy:) love you!

Our trip to coyote hills was pretty fun. Coyote hills nature preserve is less than 5 miles from my house and Rob had never gone so I took him on the fat girl hike. (a fat girl hike is a flat land hike with many stops to rest) We had fun and it was cool to see all the birds. Slept really well after our walk. LOL

Vacation!!!!!!!!

So I am officially on vacation!!!!! So happy, it's been a stressful year so far and we aren't even half way through. At one point for a week me and the Teacher, Armida were the only people who came to work. All our staff was out sick at the same time. All our kids were dropping like flies and it was drama drama drama. But now we have a week off and I am thrilled. Rob (mail order boyfriend) finally got his guard card and can apply for a job after waiting almost a month for his prints to clear, thanks to 3 fer low Fridays the company has to have delaying it's arrival. And I finally had a good hair day (See picture above) I felt the need to document my good hair day since they seem to be getting fewer and far between. So the teacher I work with, Armida is taking this week off to take her daughter to Disneyland. I volunteered to bird sit her conure while she was away. It's name is Jelly bean and we have no clue if it's a boy or a girl. I tried several tests to figure it out. I held up a remote control and a cute shoe to see which one it liked better. I held up a picture of Johnny depp and a picture of a scantly clad lady from my bra catalog to see which it would move towards and then I tried holding up a d.v.d of a jackie chan movie and steel magnolias to see if there was a preference. But it didn't move either way so all tests proved inconclusive. I can only deduce that the bird is asexual (doesn't prefer either sex, like the singer morrissey) or it likes torturing me. However it's loud and messy leading me to believe that maybe just maybe, I don't ever want children. I like kids, I just like it when they go home to their own homes. Anyway Jelly Bean is pretty cool, It lets us sleep in late and doesn't squawk unless we leave or come home and it doesn't last too long. He likes to sit on our shoulders or my head while we play scrabble and LOVES to poop on my floor. It loves company which s great since mom has volunteered to have thanksgiving at my house and include Natalia's family. That will be nine people, not including nauhel's baby mama and the infant. seriously that's a lot of people. I have no idea why mom would think this is a good idea. To make matters even worse, I put Natalia in charge of my house warming party. So this Saturday I will have about 20 people in my house. I don't do well with planning a social event, I tend to avoid crowds and hate having people over because I hate having to clean up, but after a few glasses of wine, we had a guest list made. the guest list included the words toga toga toga, so I'm not sure if that's the theme (I hope not cuz we invited my parents) anyway we will see what happens. A fancy wedding...

The setting was a great place in Aptos california on a lovely day! The couple was Nova and adrian, Nova is a friend from Highschool and she Looked soooo pretty! We had sea bass or tri tip, I picked fish cuz it's yummy! The groom is from Cuba so the whole wedding was in english and spanish. It was so fun and very fancy. They danced all night, I watched. I don't dance it's my duty not to. LOL

So we left the door open for the trick or treaters and a little back kitten walked in. oodly enough Rob (mail order boyfriend) and I were just discussing getting a dog. The kittahs must have some net work system and know I am a sucker because it is currently in the back yard after finishing my last can of tuna and my good bath towel and cute basket is out there for it too. I don't like kittahs. But it's haloween and and a black cat showed up...it may be fate, but he was eye ballin the bird sooo...yeahhh figures.
